Impact Health

Waterfall’s Health Volunteer Program is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of Pemba Island’s residents through our health-focused initiatives. Join us as a volunteer and be a part of our mission to improve the well-being of the community.

Our Mission:

At Waterfall, we believe in the power of dedicated volunteers to bring about positive change. Our mission is to provide essential healthcare services, health monitoring, and specialised medical camps to the people of Pemba, ensuring that no one is left without access to quality healthcare.

Volunteer Opportunities:

As a Waterfall volunteer, you can get involved in various capacities, depending on your skills, interests, and availability. Here are some of the ways you can contribute:

1. Mobile Clinic Support: Join our mobile clinic teams and assist in providing free medical consultations, treatments, and health education to villagers across Pemba. Your presence and support can make a real difference in the lives of those in need.

2. Health Monitoring Team: Contribute to our health monitoring programs by assisting in regular check-ups, screenings, and health data collection. Your efforts will help us identify health issues early and implement preventive measures.

3. Specialised Medical Camps: If you have medical expertise, you can be a part of our specialized medical camps. These camps focus on ENT, orthopedics, obstetrics, gynecology, and general surgery. Your skills will be invaluable in providing specialised care, consultations, surgeries, and treatments, all free of charge.

Benefits of Volunteering:

  • Making a Real Impact: Your contributions directly improve the health and well-being of Pemba’s residents, offering them a chance at a healthier future.

  • Personal Growth: Gain valuable experience, develop new skills, and enhance your knowledge in the field of healthcare and community service.

  • Cultural Immersion: Immerse yourself in the rich culture and traditions of Pemba Island, forging meaningful connections with the local community.

  • Fulfillment: Experience the satisfaction that comes from giving back and making a difference in the world.
